Wearing a mask is a known, effective measure that limits the spread of COVID-19. It is a simple step that we can all take for our own health and for the health of our community. All library visitors over the age of two must wear a mask over their mouth and nose for the entire duration of your visit. If you do not have your own mask, we will provide one for you.
Please be mindful of other customers and library staff and maintain a distance of 6 feet between yourself and others wherever possible.

We have set aside the first hour of each day for service at-risk patrons.
Due to social distancing guidelines we have limited occupancy. You may need to wait your turn before entering the facility. Staff will greet you at the entrance, let you know when you can enter and when you will be required to leave, provide further instructions to keep you safe during your visit, and answer any questions you may have.
30 Minute Time Limit
To ensure that everyone has a chance to enter the facility please keep your visits to about 30 minutes.
Hand sanitizer is available at the library entrance and we encourage everyone to sanitize their hands upon entry. Additional sanitizing stations can be found throughout the library and you may use them as often as needed.
Washrooms for library users are available. Ask the security person on duty to let you in.
Quarantining of Library Returns & Items Handled While Browsing
When we process returned items they are placed in quarantine for 72 hours (3 days) before returning to use. Items in quarantine are no longer on your account and show "IN QUAR" in the online catalogue.
In addition, while browsing, please place any items that you handle but do not take home with you in the designated bins; these items will also be quarantined for the recommended 72 hours. Since any items entering quarantine will be unavailable to other customers for 3 days, we ask you to be selective in your browsing and limit the number of items that you touch, whenever possible.

How do I get materials from the areas I can't browse?
Staff will be on hand to retrieve items from the closed areas of the collection.
Where can I return library materials?
The book drop at the main (South) entrance to Atrium Centre is open 24/7, and is emptied twice a day. There is also an enclosed bookdrop inside the library for returns during our open hours.
I returned my books several days ago and they are still on my account. Why?

How do I sign up for/renew a library card?
You can register for a virtual card online by filling out this form: Virtual membership registration. You will eventually need to visit a library branch in person in order to upgrade to a full membership by confirming your address and other details, but we will ensure that you can access electronic resources until you are comfortable visiting the library in person.
You can also now register in person at the Library. Please bring ID with your current address to register for a library card.
I'm trying to access LPL's digital resources. How do I do this and what is my PIN number?
All of our digital resources are available to Lloydminster residents from home with a valid LPL library card or virtual membership.
Please note: If you live outside of Lloydminster, you won't be able to access many of our digital resources, including eBooks and eAudiobooks.
Are there any library programs happening?
Until further notice, all in-branch library programs are cancelled, but we have moved some of our programs online.
Can I use the library’s computers?
During your visit, you may access one of the four public computers, including our printing services. We have fewer computers due to social distancing measures and we ask that you book a time in advance by calling us at 780-875-0850. Daily computer time is limited to 60 minutes.
Are you accepting book donations?
We are not accepting book donations at this time.
